Virtue(R) Links to God, Holy Spirit, Christ, Eckhart Tolle and Stillness; 'New Earth' Presentation Draws Comment from IBI Execs
ORANGE, Calif., March 26 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- "Be Still and know that I am God," said IBI CEO Rick Larimore, "is the passage that Eckhart Tolle referenced from the Bible's Psalm 46:10 in the first interview of Oprah's on-line presentation of Tolle's recent book 'The New Earth,' presented at oprah.com. This is the Biblical passage we have referenced the last 2 1/2 years on virtueperfume.com and our pamphlet, for the same reason. God resides in the still, silent center that is us."
"There is a challenge that many Christians face in relating to God, the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ. Their inclination is to relate to the personage of Jesus, but, in fact, His admonition to His followers was to relate to the Holy Spirit in His absence. Why? We know that God is formless and are admonished in the Bible to never have any engraved images of Him to worship."
"We also know that God, the Holy Spirit, and Christ are considered three aspects of the Holy Trinity, the 3 in 1. I would think that rather than just 'believe' this, a Christian would ask themselves, 'What connects the 3? What do they all have in common?'," proposed Mr. Larimore.
"Another Biblical tenet is that we, humans, are made in God's image. We know that God is formless, so how are we made in His image? It can't be our physical body's that are representing God's image. It must be some part of ourselves that is formless. Then how do we become formless or relate to formlessness? I would think we have to 'BE' formless. The only way we can make ourselves formless is to be perfectly still. Still in heart and mind. No thoughts, no emotions. To focus on the stillness and 'BEING' the stillness."
Christ said, "I and the Father are one. If the Father is formless, how is Jesus formless and how is He - One with the Father?"
"If what I offer is true. That BEing still; stilling yourself and identifying with the stillness connects you with God's formlessness, then another passage by Jesus takes on a whole new aspect."
Christ also said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, you know my Father also."
"Consider that Jesus was identified with His formless, still, silent self and had made, as Eckhart Tolle calls it, the Awakened shift into identification with the still formlessness that is God. Jesus would be the 'stillness' and no one would come to the Father's 'stillness', except by Him, because there is no difference in the 'stillness' that is the Father or the Christ or the 'stillness' in you (Christ in you)."
"Faith is an important aspect of this; assisting us in dealing with something that is not physically identifiable. By affirming and acting on the understanding that God's formless love, power and presence is with us always, by Faith, we open a door to accepting this formlessness into our lives as a reality. For the person that has not Awakened to the Still identification, Faith is indispensable in living a spiritual, Christ centered life. Faith mimics the reality of the Awakening, by allowing us to function as though we were awakened," counseled Mr. Larimore.
"We created Virtue perfume as a tool to assist people to accelerate their identification with the still, silent part of ourselves, and to assist those who have trouble holding in their awareness, this conscious connection to the formlessness of BEing Still. When we say it's to remind you of God, we mean it helps a person refer their attention in any given moment, to the 'Stillness and Presence' of what we call God," added Vicki Pratt, President of IBI, whose inspiration underscored the development of Virtue(R).
"As an assist to connecting to the stillness, oprah.com suggests in the section on Spiritual Exercises, 'Some people appreciate tools and practices to help them develop still and alert attention,'" added Ms. Pratt.
"Virtue perfume reminds someone to make this connection in a very powerful way. Wear it while doing your spiritual practices and identify the fragrance with your experience. Later, you smell Virtue(R), you remember why you're wearing it and take a moment to deepen your relationship with the stillness. It reinforces by repetition and conditioned memory. Virtue's fragrance is unique and its uniqueness is perfect for the identification with something spiritually formless and typically unfamiliar to common thinking and feeling," assured Mr. Larimore.
"It helps bring to awareness your spiritual unity with God," added Ms. Pratt.

President Tuxedo Expands 'Bux for Tux' Donations to High Schools in Lower Michigan
WARREN, Mich., March 5 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- President Tuxedo, a regional company providing men's formal wear, is expanding its "Bux for Tux - Giving Back to Education" school donation program throughout lower Michigan and south to Toledo in Ohio.
"Bux for Tux," donates up to $5, 5 to 10 percent of the cost of a typical tuxedo rental of $50 to $100 for a school prom, to schools throughout Michigan and south to Toledo, Ohio. Each school gets at least $2 per tux, and the amount goes up as the number of rentals increases.
It's a simple program, according to President Tuxedo CEO Robert Gafa. "We partner with student or parent groups at each high school, providing all the information and materials they need to alert students to the program, and even go out to each school to measure students in order to have a tux ready when they come into the store."
"President Tuxedo is proud to match or exceed the 5 percent of sales donated to local communities by Target stores, regarded as a model for corporate generosity," Gafa says.
This will be the second year of prom Bux for Tux. More than 40 high schools out of 600 in the region participated last year. One of those was Allen Park High School in Metro Detroit. The school was delighted with the results, raising $380, said Kathy Rinna, Allen Park High School PTA member, who said Allen Park will use the money to help keep prom tickets affordable for students this school year. She said she "can't imagine any school not wanting to participate in Bux for Tux." That donation represents 76 rentals, about 35 percent of boys in the senior class at Allen Park, a percentage Gafa said was "great" for the first year. Two other high schools, Fraser and Monroe, both in Metro Detroit, earned top dollars up to $410.
"We at President Tuxedo are very excited to give back to the schools and communities that have been our customers for the past 40 years. Since we are a Michigan-based company, we want to help support and improve our schools in these difficult economic times throughout Michigan and Toledo. Our employees are excited to participate in Bux for Tux in their own local communities," said Gafa.
The company provides other support to high school students throughout the year, including a $25 prom savings card for each student renting a prom tux, opportunities for students to earn discounted or free tux rentals and win cash prizes for referring other students to President Tuxedo, and free formal wear for plays, prom rallies and other events.

Tests Show NevaSlip(TM) Anti-Slip Floor Treatment is Safe for Environment, Perfect for 'Green Building'
LYNN, Mass., March 5 (SEND2PRESS NEWSWIRE) -- Independent laboratory testing of the formula that NevaSlip(TM) anti-slip floor service uses to make architectural stone and tile floors slip resistant shows it to be 100% environmentally safe, even as it gives those floors a Static Coefficient of Friction (SCOF) rating that meets or exceeds current federal ADA regulations.
These test results prove that using NevaSlip, architects, builders, and building owners active in the "green building" movement can make the natural stone and tile floors they prefer safe from harmful and costly slip-and-fall accidents, while still being "green." And NevaSlip's 8-year guarantee helps keep the building "green" long after it's built.
"Natural stone is the ultimate 'green' flooring product," says NevaSlip Owner and President Stan Handman, "but granite, marble, and other natural stones can be dangerously slippery when they get wet. That's why NevaSlip is a perfect partner for an architect or builder who wants to be safe and make sure they stay LEED compliant in their buildings."
LEED(R) does not offer green certification for building-related products, and there is not yet one dominant "green" product certification organization, but these test results have Handman exploring which certification procedures, if any, would mean the most to his architectural, building, and corporate clients.
NevaSlip is an anti-slip floor treatment service with 18 years of making floors slip resistant for a range of companies, health clubs, hospitals, manufacturers, nursing homes, shopping malls, and universities from coast to coast. With health care costs and personal injury law suits continually on the rise, many companies also look at NevaSlip installation as a cost-savings strategy.
