 Music Superstar Gloria Estefan to Perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, October 10-19 July 2003 (Newstream) -- Nero couldn't sing and Augustus couldn't dance, but when the Latin rhythms of Gloria Estefan take over The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, October 10-19, the entire Roman Empire is sure to shake.

Coinciding with the release of Estefan's first English language album in six years, Unwrapped, the superstar recording artist will bring her unique blend of pop and Latin music to Las Vegas for seven shows entitled "Gloria Estefan Live & Unwrapped." Choreographed by renowned film and television director Kenny Ortega (Dirty Dancing, Chicago Hope, Ally McBeal, among others), "Gloria Estefan Live & Unwrapped" will be an explosive multimedia experience mixing music, dance and costumes into an unforgettable concert experience.

Presented in association with BOX Entertainment, tickets for this exclusive engagement go on sale July 21 at 10 a.m. at The Colosseum box office at Caesars Palace and are priced at $175, $150, $127.50 and $87.50. Shows begins at 8:00 p.m. Performances are dark October 13, 14 and 15.

A five-time Grammy Award-winner, Gloria Estefan is one of the most well known artists in the world. Since bursting onto the music scene in 1985 as the front woman of the Miami Sound Machine, she has sold over 70 million albums, making the "Queen of Latin Pop" the single most successful crossover performer in Latin music history.

In addition to her unprecedented success in the music industry, Estefan is also a celebrated philanthropist and humanitarian working with such organizations as the United Way, United Nations and American Red Cross, among others. She has founded the Gloria Estefan Foundation, aimed to reach those who struggle outside the safeguards of society by promoting good health, education and cultural development; she is also active in the Miami Project.

The opening of the Colosseum at Caesars Palace marked the beginning of an exciting new era for innovation in entertainment. A contemporary interpretation of one of antiquity's architectural wonders, the 4,100-seat entertainment and event venue has been custom-designed for an extraordinary concert-going experience. Rising 120 feet above Las Vegas Boulevard, its rotunda spans 256 feet in diameter and the Colosseum boasts a 22,450-square-foot stage.
