Toys "R" Us Times Square Hosts Eager Readers at Midnight for Book Release.

July 2005 (Newstream) -- Toys "R" Us Times Square was overrun with Muggles and wizards as the store hosted a special midnight opening to celebrate the launch of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the most recent installment of J.K. Rowling's enchanting book series.

Hundreds of fans, many dressed as their favorite Harry Potter characters, waited in line for hours for the first opportunity to purchase the sixth and latest Harry Potter book. As the clock struck midnight, fans poured into the Toys "R" Us store and clamored for their own copy of the highly anticipated novel.

Over the past few weeks Rowling revealed three chapter titles from the new book: "Spinners End," "Draco's Detour" and "Felix Felicis." However, the story line of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been a much-guarded secret. Rowling's Potter books have all been best sellers and popular with both children and adults.
