FIVE SECOND MOVIE CONTEST
March 2005 -- Think you can make a film that's really cool? Who better
to judge how your work is then the king of cool - John Travolta.
Travolta, Christina Milian and other cast members from the film "Be
Cool" have chosen a winner for the CadillacUnder5.com film contest
- which called for aspiring filmmakers to submit a five-second film. Jeff
Schmale of Bel Air, Maryland was chosen as the Grand Prize winner and
wins a Cadillac CTS-V, which boasts an acceleration rate of zero-to-60
miles per hour in less than five seconds. His film, "Tuesday,"
documented a normal Tuesday of his life.
More than 2,600 films were
submitted for the contest. The finalists were judged equally based on
creativity, technical ability and popular appeal. Finalists won a trip
for two to attend the London premiere of "Be Cool."
"Be Cool" is currently
in theaters in the U.S. and is set to open on April 1 in the U.K.
