Guinness Record Holder Breaks His Own Yo-Yo Record

February 2005 (Newstream) -- Guinness World Record holder Hans "YoHans" Van Den Elzen - who holds the world record for most yo-yo tricks within a minute - broke his own record Saturday at Toys "R" Us Times Square in New York City. After wowing the crowd with a 45-minute yo-yo show, he broke his prior record of 51 tricks in a minute.

No pun intended, yo-yo's are coming back. Hasbro (NYSE:HAS) is leading the way with its new F.A.S.T (Fully Active Starbust Technology(TM)) series of yo-yos. To celebrate the launch, Hasbro kicked off the F.A.S.T. Yo-Yo All Stars tour at Toys "R" Us Times Square.

YoHans was joined by the F.A.S.T. Yo-Yo All Stars, a team of yo-yo professionals, who invited audience members to learn tricks from the Official F.A.S.T. Challenge trick book.

After the kickoff, the All Stars will travel to three cities - New York, Chicago and Atlanta - to learn tricks from professional demonstrators. They'll also be invited to "lace up" and compete in the F.A.S.T. Challenge. One winner in each of three age brackets in each city will be named regional champions.

The F.A.S.T. 201 Series Yo-Yo is for kids ages 8 and up and available nationwide.
